The Mapuche also knew that in this time the longest night occurs, since the Pleiades shine with more intensity, so observing the sky and nature also fixed this day as the new cycle. In the past, the Mapuche did not have calendars. For what they were guided following the movement of the stars. They knew that the new cycle was coming, since 7 pleiades shine with greater intensity. In this ceremony, the Mapuche make our prayers in order to thank and connect with our ancestors. Families gather in the Kütralwe, the elders are listened to, mate, food in abundance and music are shared.
